Noucha
A contemporary reinterpretation of a Parisian family home in the 16th arrondissement — Noucha blends intimate hospitality with residential character.
Vision
The project was not approached as a conventional hotel, but as a lived-in and layered house open to guests. The ambition was to create a place that feels personal, familiar and generous — somewhere between a residence, a salon and a neighborhood address.
Context
Located in the 16th arrondissement, within a distinctive townhouse tied to the history of the Birene family, Noucha draws from both the residential character of the neighborhood and the memory of the house itself. The project engages with the Parisian art of living, while preserving a strong sense of intimacy and domestic scale.
Design approach
Spaces are conceived as a sequence of rooms rather than a unified hospitality layout, allowing different atmospheres and uses to unfold throughout the day. Original features are preserved and reinterpreted through custom elements, graphic carpets, warm woods and carefully sourced objects. The balance between tradition and modernity is deliberately subtle, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and inhabited.
